Gone.

Gone forever, no longer here,
You abandoned everything that was dear.
For what, to live as a single, lonely man?
You'd better enjoy it, while you still can.
Gave up your family, gave up your life
Left your daughters to care for your sick wife.
While you party and do what you please
I am left, praying for once, on my knees,
Every night I hope for you to come home
I hear my mother crying in her room all alone
Because you didn't want to work it out
Because you wanted to flounce and pout.
So now you have your freedom, but at what cost?
How much have you sacrificed, how much have you lost?
In bitter pursuit of a time long gone
And we are left to deal with all that's gone wrong.
I hope that one day you realise your mistake
But for now WE have to deal with the destruction in your wake.
